Hydroelectric Power Plant SCADA Application
Project: Devrekani-Kastamonu/Türkiye 6.9 MW Pelton Type Unit
Post Date: July 2024
Project Year: 2016
In 2016, a 6.9 MW Pelton type single unit hydroelectric power plant was installed in Kastamonu Devrekani district. The water intake structure of the power plant was designed as a control system. Remote control of the plant was the most important requirement in this difficult-to-access region.

"Our power plant was completely damaged in the flood disaster that occurred in Kastamonu in 2021 and was renewed in 2022. The automation system units listed above are the products used after the revision. Due to the long delivery times in material supplies at that time, Fatek Brand products were used. Before the revision, Motorola ACE3600 Series RTU and Industrial PCs were being used."

About SCADA Application
The SCADA application of our hydroelectric power plant, developed on the inSCADA Platform, has been designed to be accessible and manageable by its users from anywhere. The inSCADA Platform, which runs on a desktop computer installed inside the switchboard, has been made accessible from anywhere by routing via a fixed IP internet connection. In this way, there is no personnel at the power plant and remote management is provided.
"It is a great chance that there will be no loss of life in the power plant due to the unmanned operation of our power plant in the flood disaster that occurred in 2021."
With the SCADA application on the inSCADA platform;
-
Start/Stop Operations,
-
Alarm Management,
-
Reports,
-
To inform,
-
Automatic sending of reports by e-mail,
-
Transmitting alarm and operation status via SMS,
-
-
Weather tracking, (Openweather API Integration,
-
Viewing existing cameras on SCADA Screens,
