  • For which industry applications is inSCADA a SCADA software?
    inSCADA is not industry specific SCADA software. It is a platform for developing SCADA and IIoT applications. You can develop and program on the inSCADA platform specific to your application. You can develop your applications according to the needs of Energy, Natural Gas, Oil, Process Control, Central SCADA and any facility or HMI.
  • Could you please explain the inSCADA licensing policy?
    inSCADA offers its customers appropriate license options for their applications of different sizes. inSCADA licenses according to I/O (excluding Local Tags) and number of users. inSCADA license packages are as follows.
  • What are inSCADA licensing methods?
    inSCADA performs licensing services using two methods. ​ Soft License Hardware Key License ​ 1. Soft License ​ With this method, inSCADA is licensed on the computer it is installed on. The information required for licensing is below. ​ Name: Name of the license holder. Surname: Surname of the license holder. Company: Company name. Mail: Email address of the license holder. The license will be sent to this email address. I/O Limit: The amount of I/O to be purchased. User Limit: The number of users to be purchased. ​ 2. Hardware Key License ​ With this method, inSCADA is licensed with a hardware key. Simply plug your license key into the USB port of the computer running the inSCADA Platform. The information required for licensing is below. Name: Name of the license holder. It can be a company name or an individual name. Surname: The surname of the licensee. It may be a statement identifying the company or facility. Mail: Email address of the license holder. The license will be sent to this email address. I/O Limit: The amount of I/O to be purchased. User Limit: The number of users to be purchased. ​
  • Why aren't there license packages such as WebView and WebControl in inSCADA license packages?
    inSCADA is currently a web-based application. Therefore, you do not need to purchase the usual licenses and applications in other SCADA packages separately. Your application will be accessible from anywhere at the level you authorize.
  • What communication protocols are supported by inSCADA?
    Modbus TCP, Modbus TCP Slave, Modbus RTU Over TCP, Modbus RTU Over TCP Slave, Modbus UDP, Modbus UDP Slave, DNP3, DNP3 Slave, IEC 104, OPC DA, OPC UA, S7, MQTT, Ethernet IP, Fatek TCP, Fatek UDP and Local Protocol
  • Can we use it in panels or industrial devices in small-scale projects?
    inSCADA Web interface is also designed to be used on touch operator panels. Simply select an appropriate hardware resource based on the scale of your application.
  • Can inSCADA be run on hardware with mobile processors?
    For now, you can run it on a mobile processor computer with a new generation 64 Bit processor, CPU 1 GHZ RAM 4 GB 64 GB SSD features as a minimum hardware resource.   • Do we need to pay additional fees for redundant systems?
    You do not pay any additional fees. You just need to purchase licenses with the same I/O and User limit as the server you need.
  • Does the I/O limit concept on the inSCADA platform include local variables (Local Tags/Variables)?
    InSCADA Platform, there is the concept of local variables (Tags/Variables). These variables we will use are not considered within the scope of I/O Limit and there is no limit. Also, if you want to read and write some values in the memory in the inSCADA Platform, you can look at the in-Memory DB Functions.
  • Can I create tables for recipe-based applications that require a similar database using inSCADA?
    In the inSCADA Platform, you can create a database, add, edit and delete data in your database. For this, inSCADA offers you a user-friendly simple interface ready for these operations. You can also write and apply SQL queries in scripts. You can also use the ready-made terminal within the platform to test your SQL queries.
  • I changed the computer I licensed and my license is not activated, what should I do?
    Please send your license information to info@inscada.com along with an explanation of why you are making a change. Our support team will contact you to assist you. To activate your new license, simply activate it from the Runtime->License menu. You must have an internet connection during this process.
  • How can I obtain a username and password to log in from the inscada.cloud website?
    http://inscada.cloud web address is a service we offer to our inscada customers so that they can examine sample applications and benefit from sample design and application codes. Username and password are defined for our customers upon request. This area is also the inSCADA team's own application development and testing environment.
  • Is an internet connection required to develop applications on the inSCADA Platform?
    You don't need an internet connection. You can download and install the inSCADA platform on your computer from our website and start developing applications locally. You can also access other computers on the network that includes your computer via a browser via your computer's IP address. (http://{youripaddress:8081}).
  • Can I make a SaaS web application on the inSCADA Platform?
    Yes you can. inSCADA platform is a multi-tenant and scalable application. You can develop SaaS applications on small, medium and large scales. For a small-scale application, it will be sufficient to connect the computer on which the inSCADA Platform is installed to the internet and direct the inSCADA Service ports (default http port 8081, https: 8082) to your WAN IP. Thanks to its multi-tenant structure, you can create isolated areas (user spaces) on the platform for your customers. If you have a lot of customers and you want to meet the demands of all of these customers uninterruptedly and quickly (clients > 500), you will need to move on to the scaling step. Thanks to the scalable architecture of the inSCADA platform, you can do this scaling on physical servers, virtual servers, docker container systems or with services you rent from cloud service providers. For applications of this size, you may need to get support from human resources and professionals who are experts in the field.
